WHAT WE DO
The purpose of the Alliance is to act as an overarching advocacy group for our members at both a national and international level. We represent the collective views and interest of our members to government, industry, and performing arts professionals.
The Alliance of Australasian Performing Arts Benevolent Funds was formed in 2020 in response to the overwhelming need for a unified voice in the charitable space around the performing arts industries.
The Asia Pacific region’s leading arts industry charities, funds and trusts have a long history in the enormously important role of providing crisis and emergency support to the entertainment industries most vulnerable. The need for financial and health and wellbeing support has been a constant throughout our recent history.
Now, with the COVID-19 pandemic causing unprecedented devastation to the Australasian live, television, digital and film sectors, the rapidly expanding need for swift and effective support for our community has become even more apparent.
The Alliance was founded to represent the charities and funds throughout our region.
